Baseline™ Integration Center
The Integration Center Concept is an operation model for integration based on the baseline methodology and an organization model for Integration Competence Center.

The general process of integration focus in bigger enterprise structures often leads to advanced challenges. At this point, the management of an internal integration service becomes relevant. An organisational unit is needed for the central allocation of all integration matters on the basis of the existing technologies and methodologies for internal and external customers in the group, e.g. for individual projects and application development departments which have the most different integration requirements.
If there is no such organization, several challenges are not met, as e.g.:
Using the Baseline Integration Center, all these problems and challenges are met accordingly, so that as a result a central unit develops which gives no cause for insufficiency situations.

- integration developments and investments are decided on department level, whereas company-wide decisions are affected
- spaghetti integration of legacy systems are as monolithic silos as flexible as cast concrete and do not allow flexible it support of changing business processes
- lack of agility concerning the internal it service
- lack of understanding of people being not familiar with integration and the subject hinders the use of the advantages of business integration
- lack of re-usability of legacy applications (host / mainframe)
- difficulties regarding the support of different integration approaches
Using the Baseline Integration Center, all these problems and challenges are met accordingly, so that as a result a central unit develops which gives no cause for insufficiency situations.
